The RIABM has a strategic plan for the period of 2013-2017, which was approved at the Board meeting held in Costa Rica in June, 2013.
The 4 Strategic Objectives are:
Strategic Objective A
Promoting the dissemination and knowledge concerning the Model Forest process
Strategic Objective B
Achieving the financial sustainability of the RIABM and its management to provide stable support for its members
Strategic Objective C
Supporting the consolidation of Model Forests
Strategic Objective D
Ensuring that Model Forests support the participatory, sustainable land management in forest rich landscapes and influence the formulation and implementation of public policies at different levels
